I have to say, I love being the local Macaroni Kid publisher. It gives me an opportunity to serve others by providing a well received service to the community. But I have to tell you, it's sometimes hard to juggle my responsibilities for my family with this awesome gig.
It seems like most of my day is spent with getting little ones ready for the day, feeding them, changing diapers, creating playtime, breaking up fights, attempting to clean, homeschooling, etc. When the clock strikes 5:00 P.M., I'd like to just be able to sit on the couch without a toddler using me as a jungle gym, but then it is cooking time AGAIN.
So when an already busy mama, gets more responsibilities added on, something's got to give. Needless to say, for me it was my cooking. We started eating out a little more and eating a little less healthy.
My hubby has been amazing and has stepped up by taking over meals on weekends so I can have time to work. But he was getting ready to protest our weekday meals, when I got the opportunity to review Gobble Inc.'s gourmet meal kits. I was so excited, because I heard the meals take only 10 minutes to cook. Sounds too good to be true, right?!
Well, regardless, I was a little skeptical as I've tried other meal delivery services and they take FOREVER with all the herb chopping, sauce making, and ingredient prepping. By the time everything is prepped and segregated in 10 separate dishes, my two year old is pulling at my skirt in tears begging for food. Gobble Inc. promises less time prepping so you can spend more time with the family versus cooking and cleaning up. Needless to say, I was ready to put Gobble Inc. to the test.
This mama is no Speedy Gonzales in the kitchen . . . I'm a bit more of a Tortuga. So, I procrastinated on the cooking of my Gobble Inc. meals a couple of days. As excited as I was to check them out, I just couldn't see how a fresh healthy gourmet meal could be cooked in 10 minutes.
Needless to say, I waited until it was the weekend and casually mentioned to my hubby, oh don't forget we have those Gobble Inc. meals. They're super fast to cook and will make cooking this weekend easy. Hubby asked how fast. I said 10 minutes. He said okay. I said time yourself. Game on!!
My husband likes to be an overachiever and happily takes on a challenge any day. Plus, he is also much more efficient in his cooking techniques than me. From opening the refrigerator to plating his first meal, he took 16 minutes. The second meal took 14 minutes. I, on the other hand took 20 minutes on the third meal. Actual cook time is 10 minutes across the board. The additional minutes account for time of motion in getting items out of the refrigerator, out of the packages, onto pans, off of pans, and so forth. I don't know about you, but I think 10 minutes cook time and dinner on the table in 20 minutes or less (accounting for slow pokes like me) is amazing!!

The meals are healthy with a generous portion of vegetables. All the ingredients arrive fresh and refrigerated, as they come packed with ice packs straight to your door. Don't worry if you aren't home when the meals arrive, the ice packs keep the food cold for days, literally.
The recipes have simple easy to follow steps, that even the most reluctant cook can follow. 10 minutes, 1 pan, and 3 steps. Voila! Dinner is done.
The meals are delicious and satisfying. It is no lie that Gobble Inc. makes you into a #dinnerhero by providing meals where an executive chef has done all the prep work, so you have more time with family.
