Babies, Bumps & Family Fun Day!
Calling all awesome parents, cover cuties, bouncing babies and expecting mamas and papas! On Saturday, April 8th Sacramento Parent is bringing you the 9th Annual Babies and Bumps event… a fun day for the whole family! With the help of our sponsors, Kaiser Permanente®, Shriners Hospitals for Children®, UC Davis Children’s Hospital and Macaroni Kid this event is FREE!
Little ones love the fun-filled entertainment, as well as fairies, clowns, a bounce house, animal show and some incredible special guests (including a very popular superhero). Parents will get the chance to chat face-to-face with a vast array of vendors and shop a boutique of hand-made baby items from local crafters. And of course, everyone in attendance is eligible to win incredible prizes! Yes... we said prizes, lots of them! Just for coming, you will get a Sacramento Parent canvas tote (while supplies last) and a few raffle tickets to enter to win cool stuff for new parents. See what we're giving away, here!
Does Your Child belong on the Cover of Sacramento Parent?
The 4th Annual Cover Kid Search sponsored by Sunrise Mall will return by popular demand to capture many of the adorable faces joining us for the big day! It’s FREE, but come early to reserve a time with the talented Alisha, of Colehearted Photography and feel free to enjoy the event while you wait for your chance to have your child discovered.
Who is eligible? Children ages 6 months to 6 years-old that live in Greater Sacramento.
How to enter? Simply bring your camera-ready child to Babies and Bumps to reserve a few minutes with the on-site photographer.
How will a child be chosen? A panel of judges (including the publisher, editor-in-chief, editor and graphic designer) will review the images and the winner and finalists will be announced in May. The 2017 Cover Kid will be featured on the cover of the September 2017 issue of Sacramento Parent magazine.

Giving Back to Families in Need
Sacramento Parent is proud to announce Blossom Place as the beneficiary for this year’s event. Blossom Place offers housing, support and resources for former foster youth and at-risk young women ages 18 to 24. They have recently opened a home for young mothers with infants. Many of these young women have come from very hard and often hurtful places. But Blossom Place believes they can become vibrant, thriving women and strives to walk beside them as they blossom.
We can’t wait to see you there!
