Wednesday night May 25th was media night at the Sacramento County Fair. Yours truly was amongst the lucky ones privileged to preview some of the most amazing fair food I've ever tasted and some top notch entertainment.
The fair food was not only delicious, but top quality. My only complaint was not having a big enough stomach to finish all 17 dishes presented to us. We're talking BBQ pastrami sandwiches, Squeeze Burgers, Pad Thai Noodles, Tosti Elote, Smores Funnel Cakes, Lemon Fudge, Fried Chocolate Covered Marshmallows, Chocolate Covered Cheesecake, and much more! We also got to check out the two story Milo's pizza and corn dog concession stand. The picture above does not do it justice!
The All Alaskan Racing Pigs were the cutest thing ever. Your little ones are sure to love watching those piggies race to the finish line.
Capt'n Jack Spareribs, not to be confused with Captain Jack Sparrow, provides an intimate juggling, magic, and ventriloquism show that is sure to bring the entire family to laughter.
The petting animals were just adorable. The circus motorcyclists were very impressive, providing a quality show that would rival any large traveling circus.
With this small glimpse into what the fair has to offer, I wholeheartedly recommend any and all families who are in town this Memorial weekend to attend the Sacramento County Fair. The fair promises some wholesome family fun!
