Join us for an afternoon of music, fun, and community! We're kicking off our new 2020 Concert Series (shows listed below), showcasing the beautiful and historic Hutchins Street Square Community and Conference Center, with performances by national recording artists Chris Pierce and Chris Lovejoy in the Charlene Powers Lange Theatre. Tickets to all the following shows will go on sale at the Experience the Square event:
Enjoy the heart and soul of Lodi's thriving event scene with live music, guided and self-guided tours, local libations, and a supervised youth activity area. This is a family-oriented event - everyone is welcome!
1:30 pm - Doors Open
1:30 - 2:45 pm - Wine and Beer Tasting in Kirst Hall, Guided and Self Guided Tours & Youth Activity Area Open (Supervised drop off area for kids ages 5-12 to play while parents enjoy other activities)
3:00 - 4:00 pm - Performance by Chris Pierce and Chris Lovejoy
$25 - Tasting & Concert Ticket (21+)
$15 - Concert Ticket - No Tasting (13+)
$5 - Youth (5-12 years old)
Proceeds will benefit Hutchins Street Square Foundation. HSSF fosters partnerships to fund, cultivate and enhance the Square as the vital center of community life.
Chris Pierce
Consummate Soul Man Chris Pierce has released seven independent albums worldwide. Recently, his co/write for #1 US Primetime TV show This Is Us, "We Can Always Come Back To This” was nominated for "Best Song/Recording Created for Television" by The Guild of Music Supervisors. In addition to headlining road tours, he has either performed on stage with or opened worldwide tours for Seal, B.B. King, Al Green, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Jill Scott, Blind Boys of Alabama, Cold War Kids, Toots and the Maytals, Aaron Neville, Jamie Cullum, and many others. His voice & music have been heard in films and T.V shows including This is Us, Rosewood, Soul Men, Crash, True Blood, Brothers & Sisters, Single Ladies, Eli Stone, In Plain Sight, Dawson's Creek, Army Wives, Crash as well as Lexus & Banana Republic ad campaigns.
Chris Lovejoy
Chris Lovejoy is a drummer/percussionist raised in Texas. He studied with two of the finest percussionists in the world: Mino Cinelu and Bashiri Johnson and toured with jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter. He also recorded with Norah Jones, Kurt Elling, and Mos Def and has toured and/or recorded with such artists as AM, Tristan Prettyman, Chris Pierce, Deepak Chopra, Kat Edmonson & Matt Nathanson.
