EL DORADO HILLS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS |
(El Dorado Hills, CA) – The El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce is proud to award
four scholarships of $750 each to local graduates, who plan to continue their education
at a university, college, or technical school. This year the Chamber received 18
impressive applications from highly qualified students. The Chamber is pleased to
announce that two scholarships are funded by Pacific Interstate Insurance Brokers and
Joe Harn, El Dorado County Auditor-Controller. Our other 2 scholarships were funded
from the proceeds from our first Virtual Silent Auction. The Chamber looks forward to
growing this sponsorship program in the future.
The scholarships are judged by a committee of five business leaders from our
community. It was a difficult task, as all of the applicants were most deserving. The
point system is based on the following criteria: 50% community service, 15% work
experience, 15% extracurricular activities, 10% scholastic GPA, and 10% financial
need. The El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce congratulates the following
scholarship recipients for 2021, and wishes them continued success in their future
endeavors: Amanda Immer, Logan Barth, Rithvik Murali, and Victoria Kolanski, all from
Oak Ridge High School.
“It is such an honor to be able to bring a little support to these four El Dorado Hills
students. We understand that they are our future, and we want to help them succeed
and continue their education. Our hope is that after graduation they will move back to El
Dorado Hills to live and hopefully are lucky enough to work here too,” said Debbie
Manning, El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce President & CEO. Donations to the El
Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund for the Class of 2022 can be
made to chamber@eldoradohillschamber.org and are turly appreciated.
