Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca, Ca opened in 2021. We were lucky to be hosted by the Great Wolf team (when they first opened last summer). It's the perfect vacation for busy parents, like me. You can compare the Great Wolf Lodge to a cruise ship on land!
You are given a wristband that acts as your room key, your payment method anywhere in the Lodge, as well as your pass to the water park. You don’t have to carry anything with you! You even check out towels once you are inside the water park area. (Tip: Remember to turn them back in or you are charged $15 each)
Great Wolf Lodge is probably best known for their water park, and it’s truly something to see. Our local property is a 95,000-square-foot indoor water park, heated to a comfortable 84 degrees year-round! Including play areas for toddlers, slides families can ride together, an awesome water coaster, a wave pool, and so much more. Unlike most water parks I’ve visited, only two attractions have a height requirement of 48”, with many allowing guests 42” and taller to ride (and some having no height requirement at all).
Signature water rides and attractions include Crooked Creek, a winding lazy river; Slap Tail Pond, a gigantic wave pool with waves reaching up to three feet in height; and exciting slides like Wolf Tail, a thrill-seeker’s dream where a floor drops out from underneath the rider and they’re taken down a nearly vertical 20-foot free fall. The water park also includes plenty of attractions for the youngest guests with a dedicated zero depth toddler pool filled with age-appropriate slides and water features. |
Great Wolf Lodge Northern California features a slide making its Great Wolf Lodge debut called Sequoia Splash. This multi-person raft slide starts by sending riders down a steep drop into a giant funnel, where the raft's momentum sends it careening up one side of the funnel to the next. |
Great Wolf Lodge Northern California also features an oversized resort-style outdoor pool called Raccoon Lagoon, with all-around three-foot, six-inch deep and water play area with fountains, along with plenty of poolside seating so families can take advantage of the favorable weather. |
Admission to the indoor water park is included as part of each overnight stay, providing a great value to families seeking the perfect place to enjoy quality time together. |
When it’s time to take a break from the water, there are plenty of things to do around the Lodge. Yoga Tails is a fun and creative yoga class set to engaging stories, fun crafts, and interactive science experiments. Story Time is a nightly gathering that culminates with a dance party to truly tucker out wolf pups before retreating to their dens.
Great Wolf Adventure Park is a 45,000-square-foot family entertainment center that houses several attractions, including the Howlers Peak Ropes Course, where guests embark on an invigorating, multi level climbing challenge. |
Guests can also explore an interactive mining experience and search for keepsake gemstones at Oliver’s Mining Co., bowl a strike at Ten Paw Alley, challenge the family to a match at Howl in One Miniature Golf Course, or explore a variety of games at the Northern Lights Arcade. |
Great Wolf Lodge Northern California is debuting a new version of MagiQuest, the brand’s exclusive live action adventure game. This is an all-new vision and re-imagining of the game with a more immersive experience from start to finish featuring a new storyline, updated gameplay, fresh graphics and music along with new characters to meet, enemies to battle, and Tribes to join. ○ In the all-new MagiQuest, guests will journey through the fantasy-forest realm of Vellara to save the Sacred Trees – and the magic of the Evergreen – from a mysterious and shadowy force. ○ Along the way, players learn to become a powerful magic user called a Magi, learning new Runes, befriending the four Tribes, and defeating dangerous enemies. ○ By the end of the game, players save the Evergreen and prove themselves to be a Master Magi. |
