The nearby South Fork American River offers some of the best white water rafting and kayaking in the state (I will post soon about our experience rafting down the river). You can also enjoy many hiking and biking trails in the area.
If you’re looking for a relaxing day trip, Coloma is the perfect spot. Spend the day touring local wineries, browsing art galleries, or visiting historic sites like the old Coloma Jail. There’s plenty to do and see here.
