23 acres along the South Fork American River, Camp Lotus Lodge & Campground is the perfect location for weddings, events, gatherings, or a simple getaway: pitch your tent on the soft grass, next to the river under a sky full of stars.
We strive to give our guests the unique experience of outdoors immersion while having easy access to comforts like hot showers, espresso, and a warm baked muffin fresh from our oven in the morning.
We are basecamp for whitewater rafting, kayaking, swimming or fishing; or kick up your feet: read a book under our plentiful shade trees while the river hums nearby, have a beach picnic with friends, stretch out in one of our lush, green shaded sites. Or explore nearby wine tasting, Gold Discovery park, and over 100 miles of equestrian, biking, and hiking trails in the foothills of the Sierras.
Camp Lotus offers:
- 30 green, shaded tent campsites with drinkable water and 12 RV site hookups to accommodate groups from 2 to 50

Business Review
Camp Lotus is a home away from home. The grounds have a thoughtful design, it's family-friendly, and is run by people who obviously care for it and their campers. Campsites are private and the amenities are clean, which makes my camping experience that much better. The store is full of everything you need and everyone who works there is so friendly and welcoming. This is our go-to place to get out of the city and we have an amazing experience every time.
