Excuse the delay in announcing the finalists of the Bokeh Creatives Portrait Package Giveaway . . . . the submissions were fantastic, each with such touching heart warming stories. Our sponsors, Bokeh Creatives took the time to get to know as many of the contestants as possible through a thorough selection process. It was a difficult decision, but they were finally able to narrow it down to the six finalists listed below.

Lerman Family:
With a heart for adoption, the Lerman's have opened their home to 2 rambunctious boys and 1 beautiful girly girl that have brought so much joy and laughter to their lives. Their oldest is all boy - full of energy, wild and crazy and loves going to kindergarten. Their little girl is as girly as they come - loves to play dress up, sings, dances, twirls and plays make believe. While their littlest who just came to them a few months ago is learning to roll over, smile and is just the happiest little boy (not pictured since adoption process is not yet finalized).
Amy knows that these moments are fleeting and would cherish these photographs forever so that she can always remember who her children are today and the relationship that they have in this moment.
Brandy and family:
The soft touch of her Grandma's silky but firm grip says it all for Brandy. This Grandma has endured the loss of her husband and son, was the backbone through a tragic accident that left Brandy's mom paralyzed with brain damage and is now nurturing her other daughter through stage 4 cancer. She walks through life humbly, knowing not to "borrow trouble" and to take one day at a time.
Brandy would love nothing more than to give these three women - her Grandmother, her Mom and her Aunt, a day that they can look forward to, one that they can get dressed up for and feel like their problems aren't as big as they are. She would be over the moon to have this memory to look back on and celebrate the story of the enduring strength of these women.
Burke Family:
As a busy family of 4, the Burke family finds themselves working different shifts while their kids are growing up too quickly! Their two young boys are the best of friends and enjoy playing outdoors in the sand, water and anywhere really, so long as they are together, it’s pure bliss.
Laura would love to stop time and have those precious moments captured of them with their boys. Previously she didn’t want to be in pictures, but after a ton of hard work, she has seen significant weight loss and would love nothing more for her family than to be able to look back and remember these times with everyone including herself in the photos.
Shanahan Family:
The Shanahan's steal the show at their local YMCA. With an active yet reserved little boy and a social butterfly of a girl who wins the hearts of everyone, Lisa made it a New Year's resolution to actually be in the photographs of her children rather than just behind the camera all the time. She'd love for them to look back on this time and see mommy in the pictures as well.
It would mean the world to Lisa to have updated professional wall art. Currently they have a wall of family photos that she wakes up to every morning but because of the busyness of life it is unfortunately missing a photograph of their daughter and the dynamic roll she adds to this young family.
Guo Family:
Filling life with adventures, smiles and pure joy, the Guo family can’t get enough of each other and trips - even if some of those trips aren’t quite the same as they used to be. The smaller details in the world have come to life as they explore with their 2 young children and see it all through a new set of eyes.
Through their volunteer work with Foster Care they have learned to really appreciate the health and pure joy that they see in their children. It would be an unforgettable experience to document their lives together and amazing to wake up to these memories every morning on their walls.
Andrews Family:
Through a horrific tragedy, Tiffany found herself an overnight single parent for the 2nd time in life. Determined to still pursue her dream and to meet the demands of her children's schedules she opened her own family law practice that gives her the freedom to set her own schedule but has also become the most stressful and busiest job she has ever had.
Life for her now is very much a time of transition, she is now part of a blended family of 7 with her oldest son who graduated in the summer of 2016 and leaves in August to boot camp in pursuit of his dream to serve the country in special forces. He has been with her through her entire adult life and soon that will all change. There are no words to express what these photographs would mean to her - they would be priceless.
